Critter Class

Get ready to cross "feed a snake" off your bucket list, because this unique experience is one for the scrap books! Critter class is an introductory class to the amazing world of Herpetology, where one can observe and partake in feeding snakes, geckos and a chameleon. The lesson covers garter snakes, milk snakes, corn snakes and ball pythons in depth, as well as visual artifacts including snake shed, skeleton, and hatched eggs. Strap in for a complete rundown of the life cycle of a crested gecko, from embryo to adult! Class also takes a closer look into arachnids, with up to 5 species to learn about and view. Other visuals include tarantula molts, taxidermied specimens and silk webbing you can touch!

Fossil Class: Paleontology 101

Duration: 2 hours (1hr fossils, 1hr owl pellet)

Unlock your own Jurassic park experience by getting to feel and study some amazing dinosaur bones up close. Learn about Florida's prehistoric events and about the geology of our planet! Fossils for study include dinosaur teeth, dinosaur replicas, dino footprint sizes, dugong bones, fish imprints, megalodon teeth and more! Kids also get to dissect their very own owl pellet, finding tiny bones to put together a whole skeleton, just as a paleontologist would with a discovery!

Art Class: Painting with Reptiles!

Duration: 1 to 2 hours

Ages: 6+

Materials included: 11x14 canvas, paint, brushes, pencils/markers, easels, smocks. A reptile buddy

Price: $35 per child, all materials included!

Sit down and paint a portrait of various themes (reptiles, dinosaurs or whatever you wish). Instructions for various paint styles are provided if needed, all materials; canvas (8x10), paints, brushes, etc. are included. Upon prior request a pre traced image can be drawn onto the canvas for an extra $5

Micro Safari

Duration: 1 hour

Ages: 6+ recommended, fine motor skills needed for making tiny adjustments on the scopes.

Materials included: digital microscope, 1000x zoom assorted viewing specimens.

Utilize a digital microscope to explore the textures, patterns, and life hiding in everyday objects!

A-Maze-ing Mice!

Duration: 1 hour

Price: $15 per child

Ages: 6+ recommended, as long as they are able to handle the animals gently.

Scientists have been studying animals for centuries to better understand earth, nature, and how things affect our bodies. Now you too can observe some mouse experiments in person!

Students get to create an instant maze, using magnatiles! Let the mice loose in the maze and observe what the mice do to figure it out. Make your own observations and re-create new mazes in minutes, and observe different ways that mice solve the puzzles!
